I'm just going to blurt it out and try not to use the 'delete' key... I was embarrassed earlier this week when a U.S. Senator went on T.V. to raise the possibility that the hurricanes were maybe a result of God's Judgment... not that I don't believe that isn't possible... actually, I think a lot of folks (Christian and non) believe judgment might have had something to do with it. C'mon, admit it! You thought the same thing for at least a split second... didn't you?
I don't know why I cringed?!?!? I just did. I still do. I had Shelly change channels as quickly as possible.
Why? I would like to think that it is because I'm very practical. What I mean is that I don't think that saying it out loud, even if it is true, is going to help save anyone. I remember what Ray Comfort said one time at our church... you don't shine a flashlight in a sinner's eye and tell them they're going to hell. But what about John the Baptist? He was pretty much in your eyeball with the flashlight... wasn't he? Am I missing something here?
I dunno. I'm going to bed. Hopefully, I'll leave this post online and not regret posting it late at night.
