Shelly & I took Emelie with us on our 13th Anniversary. We've always loved teen movies ever since being teenagers ourselves. Shelly loves "Sixteen Candles" and my favorite is "The Breakfast Club". Anyway, we both really like anything Hillary Duff does.
We saw Hillary on the Oprah show a few months ago. Oprah was doing this deal where she made dreams come true. One girl said that Hillary Duff was her inspiration and that she would love to meet her someday. Well, Oprah set the whole deal up and she got to hang out with Hillary and her sister and then attend a concert too. Very cool!
After they did the interview, Oprah was asking some questions and Hillary's mom jumped in saying that Hillary still had a curfew and even got in trouble from time to time. So, I'm saying to myself, "This girl still has her feet on the ground. I like that." There are a ton of teen girls out there trying to be as bad as they can. It's good to know that there's a few that are dealing with fame in a positive way. Rare but refreshing.
